More Cabinets per row
In direct comparison to conventional 32” single cabinets which run together, you can quickly see where the true space saving potential of modulan cabinet systems lies: by saving materials in the two adjoining units, the space needed due to the increased rack row lengths is reduced. Which means that for the same length where 16 standard 32” cabinets stand, a total of 17 modulan 19” units can be accommodated. Forsaking the modulan standard framework and relinquishing 1.6” width per unit, 18 units can be implemented for the same total length. With the open construction of the cabinet systems there is more space available than in larger single cabinets.
More rows per room
Due to the innovative construction of the Room Concept the corridors are an integral part of the 19” cabinets. A service aisle which is 32” wide provides more room and comfort for working than a 48” wide aisle in conventional single cabinets.
Increased stacking height
In order to make full use of the height of a data center as well as the surface area, modulan Tower Racks can be used. Similar to a warehouse, which is equipped with high shelving, tower racks make a total of 96 Us available with an overall height of 184″.
